Save your money on the SE lifters. There is nothing wrong with the Harley "B" lifter that has been in bikes for the past few years. If you want to save even more money, you can run Chevy small block lifters. I run Cranes. The Chevy lifter that the sell is the exact same lifter as the one the market for HD's. They just use two different part numbers. You can get a set of 16 for a Chevy for 200 bucks. That is what I did. I used 4 and sold the other 3 sets to others for 50 bucks a set. The Crane number is 10530.

Yeap......... It sounds kinda crazy but it's true.....
Another thingfound out.
I've got some old Comp Cam roller lifters for Chevy laying around since 1995. That project never got off the ground. Hell I guess for me thats a a lifetime supply for my bike.
Tom: When I replaced camshafts earlier this year, even the Service Mgr at my dealership recommended the "B" HD stock lifter over the SE lifter.
What cam/engine build are you doing? That might make a difference, but I know guys do 100+/100+ builds using the "B" lifter where another $100 for a better set of lifters would be spent if it was worthwhile and they don't.
any of you guys got 4 cranes for sell, or even 4 comp cam lifters. Didn't want to buy a whole set.
You don't have to buy 16. You can buy 4. The part number is the same just with a -4 behind it instead of the -16. In other words, search for 10530-4 for the Cranes. They may cost a little more per lifter when you buy fewer.
