i just put rush slipons with 2" baffleson my 08 dyna street bob ,just wanted to know if anyone had problems with fuel running lean ,think i should go ahead and do a remap or wait and see if any thing develops later on
When I first put V&H slip-ons on my bike it was pinging under load and popping a bit. TMax took care of it, but that may be more than you have planned.
I put Rush 1.75 slip ons on my 07 Wide Glide. I got no popping or pinging. Could not tell the difference except for the great sound. For about 250 miles, I pulled the plugs about every 50 miles to see how they were doing. They were just fine. Only ran it that way for about 500 miles, then I went with a high flow A/C and ThunderMax.
As you probaly have read, these Dyna's run very lean. I would srongly reccomend a free flowing air cleaner and some kind of tuner. If you live in a warm climate state, it is even more important.
My FXDB went into stage 2 of heat managment this summer before I added the SE air kit, Thunderheader, and SERT. It runs SOOOOOOOOOOO much better after I re-mapped the ECM. It has yet to go into the Heat management cycle since.
