WHICH ECM SHOULD I USE?
I am really green when it comes to theseHDEFI or any EFIsystem for that matter. I'm an old wrench who isused to using a flathead screwdriver and reading the plugs to adjust my air/fuel mix. I've installed Rinehart slip-ons on my 07 Dyna without having to do anything to my stock ECM moduleand don't have any problems (the plugs run a little hotter but still acceptable), now I want to installa Doherty high-flowA/C w/power vents.The local HD wrench tells me I'll have to come in andget a download for my stock ECM. Should I stay with the dealer download or shouldI use anAdd-on module such as the V&H's FuelPak or Dynojet's Power Commander? From what I understand, these premapped downloads andadd-on modulesdon't have a wide range of RPM air/fuel adjustments andare usually premapped to the highend ofan engines RPM range (I'm looking for moretorque in themid-range RPM).Does anybody have some good sound advice on what I should do to my bikes ECM so that I don't nickel and dime myself into poverty?
