Im sure it will sound fine.

and you will think its pretty quick until you run up on a bike with a HQ BB kit on it.

That 204 actually can mark a good number on the dyno.
Heads would need some attention, though.

I had the 204 installed on my TC 88 when I got the 95 BB kit and headwork done. The sound was the first thing I noticed when I cranked it up. The cam lope is sweet.

You must be reading Joe Minton's column if you're going to use a 4 degree cam advancer. When I
got my '04 Fatboy, I put 203's with the advancer in and it ran worse than stock - like a motor
with too much timing cranked in. Removed and replaced the sprocket with the stock one and the
motor came alive. Did some investigation and found the Crane sprocket advances 4 camshaft
degrees which is 8 crankshaft degrees - a real big change. This would only be helpful if someone
had severly over-cammed a motor and was trying to regain some lost bottom end.

As for the 204's, if you check the timing and lift specs you'll see HD merely took their 203 grind
and advanced it 4 crankshaft degrees to better suit the cruising rpm of their bikes with the new
six speed. These cams are designed to work with an otherwise stock motor and maximize midrange
torque. You should be happy unless, of course, you do like me and think you're smarter than the
factory.

Just my real world experience - take it for what its worth.

I put the 204s in my TC88 this weekend. Very noticeable power increase. I have the SE touring muffs and SE air cleaner w/ PCIII. So far I am not disappointed. My neighbor even commented he thought my bike was louder. He said it sounded good-I trust him....he is a huge gearhead! Anyway,if you aren't going to do anymore motorwork, the 204s will probably do you right. Good luck.

if I wanted a cam with a 30* intake close I'd use andrews 21...if you have to advance or retard a cam, it's not the right cam for the build
