Is the adjustment the same with a lifter with a hydosolid kit as with the hydrolic lifters? I thought I read there was a difference. Thanks
Or is the adjustment about half as much?
I would read the instructions that came with the lifters and follow them exactly. Assuming you have the Jim's lifters, you can find the instructions at this link. You will need to have Adobe Reader to view. http://www.jimsusa.com/tech/instruct...00/1802-IS.PDF
Bad advice, trpl8. According to the instructions, they are adjusted as a solid lifter on a cool motor only.
One other bit of advice. Getting the lifters at the lowest point of the cam can be a little tricky. Most instructions say to use a straw in spark plug hole to tell you when that is. I tried this about 5 times, and it still sounded like a sewing machine. Then I adjusted them like a small block Ford, and it was perfect the first time. Go to the Comp Cams or Crane Cams and read the Ford isntructions.
