Default modifying stock big radius baffles????

has anyone out there had any experience or know of anyone who has modified stock baffles in big radius pipes?? i recentely installed them on my 07 deuce, and they seem pretty loud...i can take it,but i don't think the local cops or people in the neighborhood will take to their loud raspy sound too lightly. i would like to remove them and maybe do some type of mod to quiet them down a few dcbl's. i'm absolutely crazy about their look, and wouldn't trade them for anything else, but it seems the law is cracking down on loud pipes in the area(i know of a few guys who have been pulled over)and i want to address this issue before summer........anything....anything at all will help.......

I haven't seen the baffles specifically for your pipes but simply covering some holes ont he baffles should quiet them down. If the flat end of the baffle has holes in it you can cut a round piece of sheet metal and tack weld it over the end of the baffle. If you post a pic of the baffles I'm sure we could come up with some ideas.

i guess the easiest way to describe them is this........... their pretty much a hollow tube with folds bent towords center to create 'some' backpressure, but ultimately their hollow all the way (in the center) right through the end...but thank you for the reply

I would imagine that you could weld a "half-moon" piece over the end of the baffle.
That should tame some of the noise, but may pinch the upper rpm power.
