Cam Install Question???

Cam Install Question???
I changed the tensioners out on my 01 Herritage this winter.
When I picked up the cam service kit it came with a bushing and a spacer I did not know what to do with.
There was nothing like it when I dissasembled the cams from the plate and the Climer's manual did not reference them either.
So this week I was looking at a parts manual for my bike and I see they were supposed to go on the front cam.
The question is if they were not there to begin with is it gonna screw something up since I left them off ?
