29/57 266 303 .590 .238 Hi-lift Great cam for 95-107+ inchers with 10:2 C.R. or higher.
63/27 270 307 .590 .218 Max torque and HP (2700-6500+ RPM).
i would guess that your having low end issues due to reversion and alsothe compression being too high for the cam. when they mean 10.2 or higher they mean like 10.5-8 not 11.2. now thats just my opinion. good solid runner im sure but i would look into another cam choice if you intend to keep that compression that high. thats where my target compression will be.. around 11.1and ill be running a woods 9b cam in a 120 the t header has been known to have reversion effects with faster lift cams.. may be DOC can chime in on this one he ha s tuned with this set up before and has more insight on it
already chated with doc on fix for header. No real issues just looking for more power. as for compression issue its fine and runs great.Im just always experimenting.this is why ihave two bikes so i can work on one and srill ride somethine too.I have problem i need help maybe there clinic for horsepower freaks. The nhra didnt help any either after 3000 plus hp motors your hurting for more onlything left is top fuel cars got a ride for me. Sorry have smartass problem too.Just wanted to try cam advanced few degrees.
You don't want to advance the Harley motor more than 4 degrees....anything more than that and you haven't reached your performance goal you have the wrong cam.
I'd think if you are looking for more bottom end power a smaller TB would be my first choice, a 53mm TB on a 95' is loosing quite a bit of low end velocity. (I'm sure you know that)
yea thought about putting restictors in throttle body too.Ive used this before on bikes that had to much carb,Ill admit i stole this idea but it works great. You have to have a lathe to do so.Im the original tinkerier sometimes I know better but I cant help my self.nOT EVEN REAL SHURE WHY BOTTOMENDS IMPORTANT TO ME.Heck i didn't know they had but two position throttles till week ago and I saw some guy riding and It was wierd he wasnt idling but not wideopen, interesting Ill have to check into this furthure.
Doc is on to something with the 53mm on a 95. I ran a 50mm on my 103 and it was more than adequate. I am running the same right now on my 120, but am waiting for results from a few others with 120's that just recently jumped to a HPI 55mm as I dont want to hurt low end.
yea my goal when boring out factory unit was to go as big as possible and add the restrictors to give me options as to which size ran best.I have3 different ones made up already.48mm(just above stock),50mm,and 53 mm if it can handle that much. Also while on this is anyone making unti with better shortside radius intake. The turn seems very steep and on suction side this is path of air flow. Also anyone make intake with split plenum effect
