Default 2006 Dyna problem in cold weather

This may not just be the new Dyna but the last few days we have had weather below freezing or right around. I have noticed my bike stuttering or have some jerkiness when riding in this colder weather. Particuarly when cold but even after warming up it does not seem real happy.

Is this being caused by the extremely lean fuel mix? Or is there something else going on?

While I am at it has anyone noticed a buzz in your left controller housing when riding?

Thanks?

Any new bike model will have twitches I know. This bike is still just fabulous beyond all reason. One of the best vehicles of any kind I have ridden and definitely the best bike.

My bike actually runs better in cold weather once it gets warmed up. I can't remember what you have done to your bike as far as mods but it sounds like a lean condition. I've never heard of a buzz in a controller. I take it you are talking about your left handlebar? I do get funny noises from my bike when it is extremely cold. Lots of creaks from the rubber (motor mounts and muffler brackets).

I ride when it's 50 degrees and up and it takes the bike quite a bit longer to get fully warmed up but runs better when its cold. No buzz ever. KB

Hmmmm...It is definately something new. The dealer says tehy think teh buzz is the bushing in teh left handlebar controler.

As for the hesitation. I think it may be running too lean. I have not done anything yet to the engine or exhaust system. It definately seem to only be happening in sub freezing temps but I will have the dealer check it out. I need ot go get the trany recall fixed anyway. I am just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

The only noise I have heard with mine is an occasional klunk when first applying the front brakes and that seems rare

I can't help with the buzz but maybe with the cold weather running. Below freezing my '01 (carborated) softail would run like crap when I slowed down after about fifteen miles on the highway. I started using HD's Idle Boost when the weather was near feeezing and the problem went away.

I have a 2006 fatboy and had similar issues in the colder weather. I found out from the forum that I had 8 degree fuel injectors and Harley changed them out to the 25 degree injectors under a recall or service bulletin. I have not had a problem since.
