Unhappy Cold storage?

This might sound wierd but I'll ask anyway. Can I bring my bike into a cold basement after a long ride in hot weather without any damage to the engine? My basement is airconditioned and pretty cold. I didn't want the change in temp to cause any problems, like a cracked throttle body, etc.

You won't cause any damage.

Lucky. I wish I could put my bike in the house for year round climate control. My next house will have a walk-out, make that a drive-in basement.

Your bike will be happy, mine cooks on hot days, freezes in Winter.

basement? sounds like a PITA up & down the landing/stairs?, shaded wall works just as well.

My neighbor washes/soaks his bike after a long run without letting it cool off. He has an 03 FLHT

Are you sure you wanna warm up that room that much? I know when I get done running and bring the bike in the garage, the garage sure heats up. I usually wait till she cools off in the sidedrive and walk her in...

I don't think bringing her in the a/c will do any harm. Have you ever been running for a while and run into a rain shower...I know my oil temp will drop from the normal 220 to below 180 on the gauge and the bike still runs fine.

Do you sit on your bike while you watch tv in the basement?

lol...tc

Also, keep away from things w/pilot lights (water heater/furnace, etc...) - results could heat up your "cold" basement more than you want...

Just my OCD kicking in! I'm worried about that when I ride in 30 degree temps in late Fall. My basement ain't that cold!
