Real quick I have a 07 Deuce and looking to put a set of Bassani's on. I have heard mixed reviews, about them fitting properly and the crome finishing of them. How do all you Bassani owners like them? Thanks to Trotter, I heard his on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc5N64nSOPwand love the sound of them and look.
We have installed several sets of the pro street series pipes. No issue's at all for fitment, however they are not the best choice for low end power. They do offer some good mid to high end power. The pipes in chrome are sold without heat sheilds, even with the little heat sheilds you can see the inner pipe turn colors. Keep that in mind.
I like the Road Rage because of the almost perfest torque curve I get with the 2:1's. Had to install forward controls on my Dyna to make them fit. Also had to buy the heat shields.
I currently have V&H BR and thought these would give me more low end. Just finished a 103" upgrade and love my mid to high just need and improve the low end a bit
I installed mine myself. The pipes themselves fit good and the chrome finish looks good. The only problem I had was with the heat shield on the front pipe. The weld was not cleaned up good where the pipe steps up to the next diameter. After a second set of pipes and a third front heat shield( with about 45 minutes of bending and twisting) I got the heat shield to fit on the front pipe. I really like the look and sound of these pipes, but I will probably go another route next time.
MT325, have you considered the Hooker Troublemakers for 96ci+? They'de give you a very similar look to the BRs while giving you your lowend power back (and more up top too I bet.)
I wanted to go with the pro streets with the turn outs because I like the look of the pipe. I am tired of the BR look. Anyone have other recommendations.
I ran a bassani roadrage on a 103" roadking and loved the power...had a good and very loud sound...had a rinehart 2 into 1 on it before and the bassani pulled a lot harder...had the roadrage put on at a rally...guy was having pro streets put on at the same time...they sounded wicked too...we hear a lot about fatcat, thunderheader, supertrapp, pro pipe hs...not many folks running roadrage, very underrated in my opinion
