Do you have a web site or ph # for G-man. Thinking about getting a port job on my evo? I live in Reno.

Thanks

I'm looking to do the same thing. Good info here. My experience in performance is all V8 based, but I've made all the mistakes and know what to expect. On my 96" I'm planning on something similar to SE204 cams, which will probably hurt the low end. Instead of spending $180 on adjustable pushrods, why not pull the heads and have them worked over.

How much compression can you gain by shaving stock heads? That's the main concern for me right now for obvious reasons with a bigger cam.

My stage 1 96" honestly has enough power for me.....I'm compromising for an idle worth a crap. They all sound good going down the road.....

I'm old school, too many smilies, I like the beating of the donkey....I mean horse.

One of the best outfits on the East Coast to port H-D heads is Cycle Specialties in Newport News, VA.

Nice to talk to you today Scott. Cant wait for my 117 tune up this winter!

And yes Hillside Cycle can take care of all cyl head needs. From changing guides in a shovel head to 140hp 117's and everything in between.

I used R&R for my bike, did a lot of checking around for the most reliable, consistant, and repeatable packages out there and decided on these guys. What really stands out is how quick they rev.

Randy, any hard data on the rev times yet? I know there was a thread about that a while back but i never saw sheets done in time.

fwiw, mine spooled the drum in less than 5 seconds.

THAT is concrete evidence, of the ability for a given engine to spool up quickly.
The 'quick reving, cool running" mantra is old hat, and only good for those that will succomb to that dialog.
Gonna have to get a new slogan soon, as that stuff is worn out.
