I use Baisley,Hillside for hand porting and Tman for cnc head porting. I have found that these three porters are the best in the country and if there is a problem they will be there for you to quickly rectify the problem.

Ken ports by hand. You will not regret it.
+1 on Ken Henderson. I looked long and hard, talked with other riders, talked with racers, talked with dealers. They go to Ken for their machining because they come no better in Southern California, and this is after all where "Hot Rodding" got started. Dick O'Brien was Harley-Davidson's highly successful racing manager from 1957 to 1983. Under O’Brien's direction, Harley-Davidson factory riders won 16 AMA Grand National Championships. After HD Dick went to work in NASCAR. As Dick's protege, Over eight years Ken mastered the O'Brien proprietary methods that deliver high performance. I'd go to Ken for twice what he charges, out here he seems to be everybody's "go to" guy, and doesn't need to look for work.

I want a street porting job that matches my components and my riding is mostly 2 UP traveling fast. So I am after torque. I live in Sacramento and know there is BC Gerolamy, but they are very pricey, and don't fit in my strained build budget. Who is the G-Man? Sounds like someone who can get me what I am looking for. Need to know how to contact him. Thanks in advance. HarleyPartsGarage

If you are never going to go bigger than andrews 26's do not waste your money on anything more than haveing your heads decked and cleaned up. GMR and BigBoyz, and deweys heads can give you exactly what 26's need for under $300. You can put on a $3000 set of heads but with 26's they are only going to do so much. I have pretty much your build and had GMR do my 06 heads for $275.

Head Quarters I called and told Doug what i was looking for and he sugessted a package that i went with and what a difference, Quality work, Knows his stuff. Had the ex local dealer dyno tune during Ohio bike week and they where really impressed with how the power curve went straight up and then across instead of graduall rise.

theres alot of folks out there doing heads, that shouldnt be! we`ve been porting heads on street to nitro bikes for over 25 years, fixed(or tried to fix)alot of heads by guys who figure "aint nothin to it,ill do it my self".porting heads takes years of experience, thousands of $$ in tooling & vavle equipment and countless hours sitting at the flow bench

Yep, again it just proves to go with a reputable shop and stick with their recommendations.

I agree you need to spend more if you are going with bigger cams, but he asked about 26's. I had Steve at GMR do my heads and he decked them to 83cc, put in new kibblewhite blackdiamond valves, and did mild clean up (not actual port work) all for $275 that was 23,000 miles ago and never an iota of trouble. GMR, Bigboyz, and Dewey's heads all have excellent reputations and do mild head work for about the same money.

Give Dewey's a call, Don's a stand up guy. I've talked with him on several occasions.
