Here's the deal, I just spent a buttload on the show aspect of my bike, now I need the "Go" part.
I've been lurking around here a bit reading everyones ideas on performance enhancing for theirbikes and was wondering what suggestions you could make to me regarding adding HP and Torque to my current bike configuration.
Right Now I havethe 2007 Deluxe twin-cam fuel injected motor (stock)with Samson 28.5 inch True-DualLongtailswith a HD SE Stage 1 and a Thundermax.
I want to increase power over the entire "range" of gears but stillmaintain rideability andengine longevity ( Idon't hot rod the bike to much) I want/need over 110 HP
What engine components do I need to make this all happen?
Thanks and I more than appreciate your responses Gentlemen.
I don't believe you will reach 110 hp with $2000.00 and I will add your HD tech telling you that you can reach this number with stock heads and a 203 or 204 cam is dreaming.
Head Quarters is a good choice along with what Hillside Cycles and GMR packages. If I where you I would contact them all and ask about their packages and prices and I would suspect all of them suggesting to go to another exhaust system other than what your running now for optimum results with their builds.
Call & chat with Doug at Head-Quarters. He'll help ya identify what best suits you needs. I would encourage you to make a list of your goals, preferences, riding style etc and have that available while chatting. Also TAKE NOTES while you speak with him.
Things to consider:
Performance
Rideability
Reliability
Easy Starting
Fuel that is readily and commonly available
Riding style: solo/2up, city / counrty / touring / barhopping / etc
What elevation do you live at or most frequently ride?
I would think a 107 Sport package would get you what you're after and then some. Do not get caught up in numbers, though.... remember: RIDEABILITY & RELIABILITY!
Doug is a very busy guy, so you might have to leave him a message. If that is the case, he WILL call you back.
Doc and Phil are correct. my recomendations would be Hillside, Headquarters, Hyperperformance..i would try and stay away from the others.
I just got done taking Docs recomendations and doing a 120 build
For 4000.00 put a pro charger superchagrer on it and get 115 hp plus on stock 96inch motor and thats what we call a soft tune.LOL. and be the talk of the town....... you can e-mail me if you have any questions just go to my website.
