Ok i have a set of black ceramic thunderheaders w\o the heat shields. The other day i was riding with my darn tennis shoes on and i accidently hit my shoe against the pipe. Now part of my shoe is on the pipe. How in the hell do i clean it off? I tried wiping it off while it was hot, but I think its burnt on..haha. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get that off?
I have the same pipe, only I got the heat shields too.
I have had this problem, but not on this pipe - on a chrome pipe. Ladies are prone to dropping their boot heels right on the hot pipe. I have used EZ-Off oven cleaner more than once to removed melted/ chared boot rubber from chrome pipes on several occassions. I imagine it would work the same on the black ceramic coated pipes too.
