06 Dyna Cam Install"SE203"

hello all,my strretbob is booked in for tomorrow to get 25' injectors installed and SE203 cams also.The question is do they have to remove the heads to check the valve clearance between the top of piston and the valve as stated in the instructios that came with the cams.My dealer is under the impression they do not have to remove the heads.instructions say to apply clay to top of piston reassemble heads to torque and measure clearance after two engine revolutions by hand.My service manual has not arrived yet so any one with 06 dyna service manual can u check please.

For "bolt-in" cams (meaning not hi-lift w/stock valve springs) clearencing the the valves with clay is unnecessary. They will not remove the heads.

Phil is correct. Instructions with the cam state the clearance check to cover their ****. Your dealer should know that he will not remove the heads to install that cam choice.
