It's my understanding that the SE Slip Fit Mufflers (they are the ones listed in the H/D general parts catalog) are not as free flowing and will not make as much HP as the SE ll Pros that are listed in the SE Catalog. The SE ll are also louder.

Also , I just installed SE ll on my 05 Fat Boy , I am very happy with them, louder than stock, but not too loud. On idle very mellow and sound increases with throttle. I also had them on my 04 Sportster and was happy with them. My dealer is pushing the Python 3 slip on fron Drag Specialities , they say they perform better and are cheaper 210.00 , but they are louder.

From what I understand, the SE 1's are the same as stock, and the SE 2s are the high-performance versions - louder and freer flowing than stock. I'm personally having the SE 2s put on my 05 Night Train.

Cheers!

I have the se2s on my 04 fatboy, Not too loud but when you open it up they let every one know you are coming, they did set off an alarm on some gangster impala today made me feel good. If you want real loud I would go vance and hines shortys or longs. To my knowledge the power gain is better on the se2s. Best of luck

Go with the SEII's and pull out the stock SEII baffle and stick in a set of thunder monster baffles, I did and there great.
