WTF, I had no problem getting all of them off but now the rear cylinder Clips seems to be tight.....Is there something I need to do that I am just missing something?
Make sure the tubes are inserted all the way. You can catch a lip and they will seem too short.
If you do and get them in anyway you'l have a nice oil leak. More that likely while go somewhere with the better half, whick will just charm her no end.
It's been a while but I custom ground a open end wrench to use as a compression tool. After making sure the tubs are seated correctly I slip the retainer in position, slided my "tool" on and compress the spring retainer down and presto, the retainer slips in. I think its was a 3/4 cheepy Taiwan wrench.
how are you trying to put them in ? are you levering them in with a screwdriver like the service manual says ? i seen on georges garage that he sells a tool for this...thinkin bout getting one
Make sure each tube end is inserted fully into their seats against the O rings. Push the spring collor down to where it goes. Put a retainer keeper in place against it. Use about a 1/4 in. flat bladed screwdriver under the retainer and lever the clip in. As you lift up with the screwdriver push with a finger on the clip.
Generally a piece of cake.
If still a problem look at the clip and see that it has a good curve. you can curve it right with pliers.
