Default 2004 era Screamin Eagle slip-ons

I came across a set of these (no cost and like new) and am considering trying them on my 08 EG Classic. At that time they were made for HD by Supertrapp/Kerker. Don't know (and don't know how to tell) if they are Street Performance or the Touring version or even if those versions existed in 04.
My question is to anyone using these slip-ons and if you feel they "opened things up" enough and added some extra (not excessive) rumble. I know the current SE pipes are little improvement over stock but suspect the older ones might be better.
All inputs welcome and appreciated.

I have the 65115-98b (pre-2006) mufflers on my RK. These are the ones that are so popular because of their "classic harley" rumble. Which I totally agree with. My seat of the pants dyno says they have very noticable power improvements over stock, and also even over a set of CVO mufflers I was running before. Rumble sound levels are totally subjective, on a scale of 1 (stock)-10 (drag pipes) I would rate these a 6-7. They are not as loud as my friends Reinharts or another friends V&H basics (neither with TD's). Cruising volume is reasonable. But the bark when you hit it screams HARLEY!

One way to tell without taking them apart, that they are these mufflers, is if they have three button-head screws holding the end cap on. They also have Screamin Eagle stamped on the side. Also, you should NOT be able to see light threw them. They have a canister baffle set-up that does not require packing so the sound will stay consistant. I personally have not heard a better sounding slip-on.

Just slip them on and give it a whirl. Only takes about 20 minutes.

Inlet of the muffler body there is a 7 digit part # with prefix 027- so basically you are looking for 027-XXXX and you have the good ones.
