Awsome. When you get your old parts back, maybe you can snap a pic of the tensioners and post italong with the mileage on them? It makes a good reference for the rest of us with tensioners.

Everyone certainly has their own take on this issue. I went through this last summer with my '06 Heritage Classic. In the end, I decided to keep it simple, and simply replaced the cam tensioner shoes (at 22K miles) and threw in a set of HQ 0034 Hurricane cams. Got good bang for the buck with zero complications. I put about 10K miles a year on the bike, so in two years I'll check the tensioners once again. Big deal.
The problem is knowing when "enough is enough" with these things -- something I wish someone had clued me into when I was dealing exhaust systems like a card sharp deals poker

Yeah, i'll definately get the original parts back from him and throw some pics up here. The bike has just shy of 30K miles on it, so we'll see what they look like when they come out.
