Hey tuners
well we finally are getting some warm temps in Iowa and after my engine build this winter im starting to get a little pinging after its nice and hot
Build
95"
Se 203 cams
Se pistons
.030 cometic head gaskets
port and polish heads with a little valve work
PC III
SE aircleaner
V&H monster ovals
Custom map from fuel moto
So what do I need to change on the PC III to get rid this pinging ??? add some timing???
Ive never messed with PC III but I am a FORD technician so playing will not bother me just need an idea how to change the PC
I have a carb so I may have different problems. When mine started to ping, I went on a long high speed run to L.A. from Las Vegas. That fixed it, by blowing the carbon out. Goog Luck
Remove 1* timing in the problem area. Test it and if needed remove another until it's cured. Obviously make sure your fuel grade is correct and operate the engine in the correct load per gear.
