2009 FLSTF with 1,000 miles and dealer installed Rush slip-ons since new. Decel flutter has now developed into a loud banging backfire. HD installed a power commander this weekend, but the problem still exists. This is a hard backfire on decel after boulevard speeds of 50 mph. So hard that the bike lurches forward when it occurs. It can't be good on the valves. Any advice would be appreciated because, as much as I like the bike, I am contrmplating selling it back to the dealer.
I own an Harley Dyna Sport 2005 injected at stage I: SEII, filter and TFI.
The problem is: too many pops.
Ive read all what I found on the internet and everyone says to control the intake and pipe gaskets, the pipe-muffler junction and to enrich the air-fuel mix.
Ive done this but without any result.
When I ride down the hills I have to open gas not to hear all the pops!!!
I dont know why some bikes like mine have this problem and others not. Is there any other idea or:
- I have to cohabit with pops?
- I have to put a carb on my bike?
- I have to change my bike?
