On another thread I talked about trashing out my '84 Evo motor.

What condition does the engine have to be for the Company to do it's rebuild exchange? A lot better than this one I'm sure.

Where do the engines that are swapped out for S&S, Ultima .. etc. end up? Never Never land? Would be a good stroke if I could come up with one for parts. I need a back cylinder, head, set of pistons and possibly a new case. The cylinder stud thread inserts I have in the case are .552 When the back cylinder took a **** it pulled one and possibly weakened others. I can get a .570 insert but I don't know how much meat I can take out before causing a problem.

I've been talking to a feller about a 96" S&S Evo engine. He says it will fit in a softail frame from 84 to 99. I thought the frames were different after '92.

Any comments for a bummed out individual reaching for a solution?
