Default adjustable pushrod trouble

First timer here. Just did a 95" upgrade on my '03 Heritage and had trouble with the SE adjustable pushrods. The intake pushrod on the front cylinder was adjusted too tight and bent. The valves don't appear to be bent and look to be fully closed on their seats. I installed perfect fit pushrods but engine still runs rough. The head is going to the machine shop tomorrow to be checked. Could I have possibly wiped the cam?
