Hey all,
I installed my Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage II intake yesterday on my 06 Street bob, Every thing went as planned and it was an easy install. My question is for those of you running an open filter element intake such as the big sucker or the SE AC, do you hear a very slight hiss or sucking noise as you roll onto the throttle? The bike runs very good and almost all of the backfiring i was getting on decel has gone away. I guess that means w/o the intake i was running too rich and unburnt fuel was being ignited in the exhaust. I dont know if im trying to pay too close of attention to the bike, but it seems like there may be a very slight powerloss or soft spot on low rpms as you being to bring up the rpms. Again im not sure about this thou as i only rod ethe bike for about 10 miles late last night. The bike is going to get a custom map and dyno session in a few weeks, in the mean time im running a map made for a Thunderheader with a SE AC, and the plugs are a nice light sand color.

i've got a force winder. mine makes the same slight hissing noise. u don't have anything to worry about. its normal from my experience. i had the hyper-charger on my 883 and it did the same thing. its just the rush of air coming in. actually i kinda like it. it sounds cool.
