Default Big sucker SS

I am wanting to put on a Ness Big sucker SS, or The Ness chrome sucker because i like the look of the round air cleaner. Goes well with my RKC. They are both a stage 2 air cleaner. I asked the guy at Ness if i could put on a stage 2 air Cleaner without doing the rest of the stage 2 mods and he said yes, i would not get the full potential out of the intake but no harm done. Is this true. Also, I have a map for Reinhart slip ons, do i need to remap if i can use these air cleaners or will my current maping work until i can afford a power commander?

I am running the Arlen Mess AC on my RK. If i had it to do over again, I would not purchase it. The backing plate is a POS. Would have come out cheaper and with a better product buying the SE backing plate and buying a new element. This is one time I wish I would have listened to the parts guy at my local dealer.

I have had the stage 2 ANBS, and I wouldnt bother. It sticks out about 3/4" further and forced my leg out further, and on the nightrain I had it was uncomfortable. It serves no purpose and dosent do anything that the stage 1 wont do. Unless you go big inch the stage 1 filter will still flow more air than your engine can use.

I now use the ANBS stage 1 and it works just fine with the old style round cover. There are two covers, an 8" and the one I use which I think is a 6 1/2".

Im running a Ness backing plate with a Hillside Cycle element. It is about 30% bigger than the Zippers or Ness element. My leg does touch it, but its not uncomfortable. I have a few engine mods so I wanted a little big. One thing is for sure. The Air Filter IS NOT restricting the motor
