ask your local dealer tech would be a easy way to find out. why are there so many for sale cheap??????
Cuz maybe they are not good heads and folks are replacing them for realistic heads?
Nobody who pays for a 110" motor is going to settle for low power. I sure wouldn't.
No big corperation like that is gonna say "It's okay, keep your old part".
They have to maticulously track that chit. Even warranteed parts have to be accounted for.

Selling take-off heads is not uncommon, never was.

i have worked for both gm and ford dealerships since the 80s and very few,if any warranted or recalled parts are turned back in to the factory. after the rep inspects them they are trash canned, or a tech takes them home.

I worked for an International Truck dealership in the past.
EVERY warranted part was tagged and put on a shelf. After a certain amount were accumulated, they were all shipped back to the factory.
That's right, Tagged and shelved, then shipped to the factory.
Why do I remember so well????? It was a pain in the *** to do. All parts stayed tied to a specific job number until they left our location.
What, you thought I was making this chit up?
Corporate want to see these flaws, they do studies and such.
They can't just pass out free parts based on somebodies word! WTF

well then you should know why international recalled all the 6.0s v8s in 2000.

They didn't.
Ford had some issues with the ECM for that motor.
Navistar didn't recall squat. Ford did.
Dude, why are you dragging this thread away from topic?
What are you trying to prove?
I don't care where the ebay 110 heads are coming from!
Do you deny that every winter there are tons of take-off heads on ebay?
I ain't' gonna keep going on with you on this pathetic non related off topic trivial nonsense. Believe what you want. HD is giving away free heads. Okay?
Now if we can get the counter girls to give away free heads, the world would be a better place.
Dyno sheets: Nearly always bullsht. Only thing they're good for is a comparison and for that to be valid the machine would have to be dyno'd before & after the modification, on the same dyno by the same operator with the same settings. Don't give me a max hp/torque number, give me the before & after numbers & maybe I'll believe them. You could take your bike to 50 different dyno's & you'll get 50 different numbers but if done correctly, you'll always get the same difference between before & after.
