Throttle Lag/ hesitation

Throttle Lag/ hesitation
I have a throttle lag/ hesitation after removing the baffels from my V&H long shots. I love the sound but don't like the throttle response. Is there anything that I can do to fix this? Possibly rejetting the carb or adjusting timing? Oh yeah I have a 05 FXD.

Is there a spot inside the muffler to mount a bolt? If so, mount a bolt with a nut to keep it in place in the pathway of the exhaust. This will not effect the sound but will help correct the timing of the exhaust wave and the closing of your intake valves. If the torque gets better, add a few nuts to the bolt until you find the point at which it doesn't help anymore.
