Default Woods or Tman?

I know the whole cam thing has been beaten to death, but want some opinions anyway. I currently have a se 103" build w/110"+ heads that are reworked, 10.5 forged pistons, 260 cams, stock throttle body/injectors,heavy breather, sert, and big radius pipes. I'm putting out 112hp/111tq with most of the torque being to the right. I plan on swinging down to JD's this saturday morning to get Dave to run it on the dyno and see what he recommends. I'm leaning towards either the Tman 625 or Woods tw8 to broaden my torque curve. I'm actually considering switching pipes to really get the most out of this build, just haven't decided on which ones to go with. I would like to hear some opinions on either, pros/cons. I do generally ride aggressive and I'm not afraid to run up the rpms, and I ride solo 99% of the time.

Dave will take care of you....I've been doing business with him for a year and a half (from half way across the country), and he's never steered me wrong. Got my heads, t/b, and cams from him. He also split and bored my cases, and set my crank. I've had the Wood 6G-7, and I'm currently running the T-Man 590.....wish I could give you more information.

I have a similar set up with a 58mm Tb and 251 cams and I am looking very closely at the T-Man 625 as I want early intake close, 41 and the high lift, .625. This cam will probably need good exhaust scavenging with 44 degrees overlap so a good 2-1 will help that reversion at the lower rpms, I would think. I have a 2-1 on my bike so that would be a bonus in my case.

after running the woods 9b for 2 yrs and since going to a t-man 650 i have to tell you the 625 is a nicer all around cam then the woods. it will not have that kick down low but it will rip. it is no slouch at all plus it does not require as heavy spring pressure in the heads another plus. cal ldave and see what he says but he dynos a lot of bikes with diffrent combos and he had the tw8 in his 120 then he went to the 9b and now he has the 650 T_MAN and he says he is not touching it if you go down there this weekend my bike is still there tell dave to start it up for ya he just dynoed my bike and the uncorrected numbers were inthe 150 tq rnge sae numbers were 141 and 142 tq

Cool, thanks for all the info. beaureed445, how did you ever hook up with Dave from all the way over there? SEDELUXE, I'll have to get him to fire it up for me so I can hear that beast! I was at his shop once last year, but haven't been there since he got the new place. He comes highly recommended around here and is only a 45 minute ride from my house, so thats a plus. I really don't hear anything about the Tman 625, but looks like a cam that would work for me. And the only thing I ever hear bad about woods cams is that their noisey. I guess I'll wait until Saturday and see what Daves input is.

I dont think youll go wrong with either one, and as others have said. Going with Daves reccomendation is always a safe bet.

Part of the reason the power is biased to the right, is that cylinder head, on that size engine.

When I was looking to make changes to my 1st 103" build, I called Doc Weaver. I figured that there would be no one better to give me advice on quality headwork than the tuning guru himself. He suggested Baisley heads, and referred me to Dave. So I called Dave, and we struck up a great working relationship. I can tell you this- if I were anywhere East of the Mississippi river, I'd make the trip to have him tune my bike.....but it's a 22 hr drive from me to him.
