Default Need help building up 88B

Hello……. I need help. I have a stock 2003 FLSTF (88b / w carb) with only Vance & Hines long shot pipes (with Big City Thunder baffels) and a jet kit (kit name unknown). I need more power out of my bike but I don’t want to do anything crazy. I was told to do heads, a cam, and intake (don’t know if he meant a carb too). I was wondering if one of you motor heads could point me in the right direction as far as a combo goes and maybe a suggested build (and what the estimated cost should be). I don’t think I want to go up to a 95 but again im not to sure what I want to do. I know I need more power but I’m not drag racing or anything just want more push on the roll-on. I do a lot of distance riding so I need a package that is very reliable. I live in NJ if anyone knows of a good shop to speak with.

sounds like you need a Baisley head ,37g ,95in package with a real sweet tune. reliable dependable and will give plenty of power and will last a very long time. if you do a lot of miles a cast piston will also kep the cost down. give him a buzz

A rock-solid combination that we have is as follows;
Hillside Cycle Stage III Heads w/releases
Wiseco/Hillside 98" piston/gasket/boring
Bob Wood TW-6G gear-driven cams
Daytona Twin Tech Ignition
S&S Pushrod kit
Barnett clutch spring
Your existing carb will work great, but a 44 mm CV would show more, but the power delivery of the OE carb works fine.
Reliability is stock-like, and very smooth as well.
Have witnessed this produce 110/110 on outside dynos.
A side benefit to the cylinder head modifications is that your heads have a very constricted exhaust port, and by opening that up, with our proprietary port mods, it will cool the engine off, while adding to the power output.
Feel free to call us.
