Friends,
I'm putting a S&S 124" on my 05 Ultra. I have a set of the stock laced wire wheels and "was" fairly certain I'd be OK but now, a bud's telling me I'm not. He say's I should go to a set of 9 spoke (wagon wheels) at a minimum for safety. Any thoughts or opinions?
Thanks,
Tony D
You might think you don;t ride aggressive, but I'm here to tell ya that when you get a feel for the torque that 124 will make.... you just might be surprised at how riding style & habits can (read: WILL) change....
i've been running them with on 124 streetbob no problem, sorry scott. last year rear pulley loosened up took rear wheel off and had my friend who races motocross tighten them. he said they weren't loose, and he didn't think i should worry. i did just replce them with some hd magnum revolver cast aluminum wheels, look great and ($808 for both front and rear with my discount) priced right. didn't like the idea of a narrower front wheel with the aftermarket wheels.
