Rush Slip Ons and Baffles
Help! My used Harley Deluxe came with the Rush Slip ons. How does one tell what size baffles one has? How do you check? How do you remove them?
Reason I ask is that they really backfire when I decelerate. Would it be cheaper to swap out baffles or get it tuned?

Does it have a high flow air cleaner
Does it have a tuning device sert pc3 tmax or dealer download.
The backfire or popping could be caused from running lean.
If the exhaust is sucking cold air through any joints it will cause backfiring

Rush Slip Ons and Baffles
You might try calling Rush to get information on how to measure the baffles, I bought the 27504 1.75 Baloney cut for my 07' Deluxe, really like them! I don't know how much a tune-up would be but the baffles are MSRP - $69.25... The other thing you may want to try is make sure there is plenty of gasket seal around the muffler joint, I had a problem with backfiring/popping on deceleration so I took them back off and used a liberal amount of gasket seal and that stopped the popping... http://www.epiflex.com/
