Default Tbw-Ccp testing

I was going to check my cranking pressure and as I was threading the gauge into the spark plug hole I got to thinking, "How do I hold the throttle blade open?" Will physically moving the blade open hurt the elec motor or anything else or is there a better way?

No it wont hurt. Just hold it wide open from the throttle and crank it over a few times. Do not hold the the blade open by hand.

Had to hold it by hand, I wasn't sure how else to hold it open, actually another guy helped. Oh by the way according to an online calculator my ccp should be 185 with my parts and at my elevation and it's 175 maybe a little higher but not quite 180, both cylinders are the same. Is this an acceptable variation of pressure?

did you unplug the injectors before you cranked it?

might have had a bit of fuel wash going on. that would lower things slightly.

No and yes there was quite a bit of fuel spraying around. This is a first time testing for me on the Tbw and fuel inj, I am a little behind the times I guess.
