There are service managers at some dealerships that will slip take off cylinders out the back door; they have many.

And aluminum torque plates.
Inside mics are a difficult tool to use, to measure accurately, in 6 places, within .0001". Dial bore guage set to the clearence spec of the skirt, is the way to fly, when in the hone.

we bore ALOT of cylinders,(#1 selling kits on EBAY),when buying or haveing your cylinders bored by some one your not familure with,make they are using proper boring & honing equipment.weve had a couple customers bring in cylinders for us to install(we frown on that)that dont come close to round or straight.(we use VAN NORMAN boring bars & a SUNNEN honing machine,state of the art)
