I'm getting ready to do a build on my '10 Road Glide. My local, respected Indy shop has a build they typically recommend for the level I'm seeking. It'll be a 103 w/10.5:1 pistons, Mackie 575 cams, Mackie Pro headwork, Supertrapp SuperMeg 2 into 1 pipe (need a semi-quiet exhaust), and Ness Big Sucker air cleaner.
I wanted to see what input any of the experienced engine guys might have with this setup. Any concerns about the combination of components or recommendations. Any projections of HP/tq? Thanks for your input.
Depending on exhaust system/AC, they were expecting about 95 HP/105 tq. They said Thunder Header makes the most power in their experience, so, not sure with my choice of the SuperMeg if it might be a little lower than that.
I'll have to ask about torque peak rpm.
Would upsizing the throttle body/injectors be needed? Not wanting it top end heavy. Looking for overall improvement with slight emphasis on low/mid punch.

Depends on how you ride and what you want. The TH will cull low end power/torque below 3k rpm to come on later, The Supermeg is quieter and better down low.
After a proper air cleaner, pipes, and a cam switch the 103 can hit those numbers no other work done and have a very strong early torque curve to boot, sorry to say.
I am in the process of breaking in my Dave Mackie 103 Megasphere kit. This thing pulls like a freight train! I have the Mackie Headwork, Cylinders, and .598 cams with a Bassani Road Rage 2-1 and SE Heavy Breather. My indy expects me to get 108HP/113TQ (and his dyno is stingy). Doesn't matter what numbers it gets, because even with a lean break-in map, this thing is a BLAST to ride. Good luck with your build!
("they were expecting about 95 HP/105 tq") Once tuned properly, I would suspect higher numbers than that. Mackies stuff is good, and so is Dave...great guy
I appreciate all the feedback so far - I'm going to go with the Mackie parts.
I'm considering the new Road Rage Series 2 from Bassani instead of the SuperMeg. Love the looks of the new RR2, but I'm concerned about noise. Got some hearing loss already and don't want to overwhelm the wife with too much noise either. Can a Supertrapp muffler be put on the RR2 does anyone know? Thanks.
