Here's an R&R billet TC131 that I rode yesterday in Manchester that exceedes 151 torque and horse out of the box and is the smoothest bike I believe that I have ever ridden. The amazing thing about this is that there is no rework needed. They have two more bikes on lifts here getting the same thing. They have thirty of these going through production right now, some with their new adapters to fit "A" motors into Softail frames.
C'mon Randy, now that you've turned this thread into a rolling advertisement for your bud's, what is the cost of the engine, the installation costs, all inclusive, complete with a world-class tune/map on the engine, out the door???
Sorry for the delay, while here at R&R I went over several RO's from the past 6 months and found the average cost to be approximately $15,000.00 for show polished (includes installtion, TB, pipes, and tune). They just completed two black and chrome 131" installs (less than show polished) and added Baker 6 speed trannies and clutches for slightly under $17,000.00. They have several 131" raw billet Evo's with black powdered cylinders with carbs and ignitions for $9,700.00 retail (a very good seller).
[quote=Hillsidecycle.com;7938901]I see your from NH.
We just re-worked a JIMS 131" for a very good client, in Manchester.
It hovered in/around the 150hp/150ft/lbs area.
Certainly plenty of power.
As I said feel free to contact us, and we can reccomend a cam(s) that you can use now, and when/if your increase your engine size at a later date, as well.

Confusious say,
"It is not to know the answer........, but to understand the question."
This build, was substancially less, in this budget-oriented economy.

What was your price Scotty? To be fair, did your price include the price of a "show" polished engine and everything you asked me for above?
No, the client's powerplant was the tuxedo black finish, as it came from Jims, as per his request.
Polished engines are very nice, and are there for those that wish them, as long as you want to spend all that time making love to that finish, while others ride.
He wanted black.
I will not disclose my client's pricing, but perhaps he will, if he happens to see this.

Scott,
Tell your client we said hello. It's amazing that you ask me a question, get an answer, and then won't reciprocate (you should be prepared to answer your own question if you expect an answer from other people). We just disclosed 6 client's pricing. We however believe your client already had the 131 so of course your 131 mods would have to be substantally less. FYI, when we buy the cast Jim's 131's, do the mods (including rebuilding the cranks, and cnc porting) the price tag is less.
I cannot/will not, feel obligated to disclose confidential pricing of one build or another, as that is our company policy here.
That is basically between us, and our client(s).
As I said, he may chime in with pricing answers.
I'm seeing a pattern here, that was reminisent of another message board, and this activity does not hold water here.
I am no longer going to entertain this back/forth.
I'm outta' here.

Really, an Apples and Oranges comparison.....One's from a high tech. machine shop the other's from a manual machine shop with the excepted hand held tolerances.
