Default ACR's and wiring harness questions

So I have this build that I'm using SE 110 heads w/ACR's. I have a harness part# from Harley and it's like 50.00 not bad, but free or next too is even better and home made is priceless.

So my question is. Can I just build my own harness and run it off the starter relay? Starters engaged, solenoids would be engaged until starter button released closing solenoids.

Your theory sounds pausible, but they way the ACRs work is that when you turn the ignition on, the ACRs open at that time, nothing to do with starter engagement. I would spend the $50 and do it right. You will however need the ECM programmed to operate the ACR's, very simple process.
