Default Front Engine Mount Question

Ok, the basics , I have a 95 Ultra . When changing my front motor mount .(Non HD Part) I noticed that the hole in the mount was much larger than the bolt on my bike. Looking at TCSD's excelent tech tip, it seems to show a metallic sleeve that would appear to go into the mount and would probably take up all the play between my 3/8 bolt and the motor mount. Again, this is HD's own tech bulletin. My HD parts manual does not list this sleeve in the drawings. IS there actually a sleeve or is the HD tech bulletin wrong? I'm getting a noise I can't identify down low and am trying to eliminate any and all sources. Since I'm not the original owner and I know the engine had been out of the frame at one point, Did the PO lose the sleeve? If so, where can I get one since my parts manual doesn't show one?

Thanks for your help

Bubba

Default RE: Front Engine Mount Question

HD replaced the motor mounts starting in 06. They do not have the sleeves in them. The new # is 16207-79C and is $28.03 at Zanotti's. If you are looking for just a sleeve check Home Depot or a hardware store for one the same length and diameter that you need.
