Default roadking took a crap

Well kids I have a story for you all. One day I was minding my business when a friend called and said his 05 Roadking had an oil light comming on. I tell him to bring it over and we'll check the pressure with a gauge. He hauls it to the local Harley shop and they say oil pump for $1,800. I said bring it over we can do that and save you some $$$$. he takes it to a place that says we will put S&S cams, lifters, pushrods, oil pump, and a power commander for $1,800. Well 250 miles later I have to get the trailer and haul him home. He said a shot of smoke came out and it looked like he was spaying for bugs. He took it back to the place that did the work and they said "there is nothing wrong with it". Well la de da da bull mother****ing bullshit. This bike runs like ****. At idle the engine will move at least 2" the takeoff is ok till you get to half throttle and then it wont pull a string out of a cat's ***. The front cylinder has 100psi of compression and the back has 88psi. Now he want's me to try to fix it. Here is my Question, has anyone run into this before? I disconnected the power commander and it runs the same. I am an auto tech I only work on mine and friends bikes. Any insightful images will be welcome.

Sounds like the motor has to come apart. What do the plugs look like? They will tell you whats going on. Sounds like it burned a piston or broke a piston or rings.

Sounds like sumping to me. If the o-rings on the oil pump are not installed properly, the bottom end fills up and the flywheels drag in the oil. That results in a severe loss of power and the motor will smoke because the cylinder wall are spashed with a more oil than the rings can control. Check the oil level and remove the plug on the bottom of the engine to see if that's where the oil is. Of course the plugs will be black, you know it's burning oil. You just need to determine where it's coming from. Did the guy who did the work ever determine why the oil light came on? Did he check the run out of the pinion shaft? Excess run out can take out an oil pump. The guy who did the job should have to make it right.

Sumping should not cause low compression. I am betting the cam timing is off.

100 psi is rediculous. 88 is even worse.
Could be cams installed incorrectly, but the ultra-low cylinder pressure will NEVER show any power.
Exactly what S&S cams were installed??

Doubt it is sumping ... sumping causes loss of power and increased heat ... but, not smoking like 'fogging for insects' ... also, compression would still be unaffected ....

Either the valves are not closing to allow compression to build--which could be the cams were installed improperly, bent valve(s), something lodged in the valve seat, etc. ... but, something is also causing/allowing oil in the combustion chamber in inordinate quantities ....

I expect you will need to start top end disassembly and analysis ... does not appear to be an inexpensive problem ... sux, after just having dropped $1,800 into it ...!

The bike is fixed. the aftermarket oil pump was the problem.

How does the pump affect compression ? That's gotta be rings or valves?
