who makes the best 2-1, and has dyno sheets to prove it? I had a VH pro pipe on my 08 ntrain and would like to put another 2-1 on my 2012 switchback. I am disapointed with all the harley mags out there that none of them do pipe shootouts...back when i was into quads and dirtbikes i remember the mags doing shoot outs on similar pipes all dynoed off the same bike...which i could see a comparison so i knew which pipe to buy..thanks for any help guys? Also was thinking about the rinehart exhaust 2-1 because they look sweet but again not sure how they perform.

Pipe shootouts are a joke, look inside the mag for the advertising, they sell the winning slot to the company that is willing to pay the most for the advertising, that's why they don't do it very often. You bought the highest bidders exhaust not necessarily the best performing although it may have been.
well that may be NCT but i am asking about the best production pipe. and QTR if the shoot out was done on a 3rd party dyno i would feel pretty safe on the out come of the shoot out.
+1 on what KingofCubes said. The Bassani Road Rage is an awesome sounding and performing pipe. The look may take awhile to get used to(rear cylinder curve head pipe), and the heat shield fitment can be a pita. Otherwise it hits hard. I installed one on my 08 Street Glide, with HQ-500 cams, SE intake/Zippers filter, and SE Super Tuner. I noticed a huge difference over slip-ons, and I already had the cams. Other choices: D and D Fatcat, unmatched quality and performance. Sound may be a little subjective. Supertrapp Supermeg: killer bottom. end and torque and infinite adjustability. Nice sounding. Good luck with your decision.

The next thing that comes into play would be the build-up of the bike it's being used on. IE. My D&D Boarzilla might not be the best suited for a lower compression 96cui. motor, but fits the bill for a higher compression, larger cui. motor.
There are alot of dyno sheets posted on the different forums. I would find the ones closest to your current build, or the build you think will be in your future and go from there.

K.
Exactly. One pipe may work best for one build and another pipe would be better in another build. Pipes like DD that have several baffle choices are flexible.. Supertrapp pipes with disks are actually tune able.
