Default Ness Big Sucker

Hi
I have just fitted a Ness aircleaner to my 06 Dyna not a problem to fit but mine is the one where you keep the original cover, is it right that the cover is just held in place by the one holding bolt in the middle?
It can move if leaned on ect?

Yes, that's how the cover is mounted. I have the "Stage II" version, which has the larger element, and it does NOT like the stock cover. I replaced the stock cover with a round one becuase the oblong stock cover was very unstable with this setup and stressed the mounting plate on the Ness element. In fact, I had a strange noise at certain RPM that I finally realized was the cover being shook by vibration. It actually cracked the mounting plate. I found that a stock Evo cover fits it pretty well. I forget if I had to make a spacer to fit between it and the element's mounting plate, but it's solid, doesn't move around., and was cheap.
