Default 07 Screaming Eagle mufflers

I just got a 2007 street bob and would like to know if I could install the new screaming eagle slip on mufflers without having to remap the bike. I don't plan on installing an air cleaner, just the slip ons.

These bikes are real lean in stock form and some bikes act differently than others, but if it was me I would say changing anything exh or AC would make AF #s worse at least somewhere in the rpm range. The new stage 1 download is suppose to out soon and hopefully do more than 1st version. At least do that along w/pipes and AC.Or spend the $ and go SERT or PC111 for a sure thing.

According to the HD release on the pipes a remap is not necessary with pipe only change.

First, there are no stage 1 download for the 07's, only the race tuner.
I don't care what the dealers out there are saying. They are using the
race tuner.... Next, yes you can use the S/E II mufflers they will not
hurt anything. The bike will run fine.
Well anybody else and MERRY X MAS to everyone.[sm=closed.gif]

Yes you can. If you have your dealer check cals using the cal finding tool the dealers have, it will say to use a stock cal.

You sir are SERIOUSLY misinformed as far as the Stage I ECM updates..... These are out of the Digital Tech...

07 Dyna/Softail 1584 Stage I Cal Part Number 34454-07B/DT (Freshly updated)
07 Touring 1584 Stage I Cal Part Number 34455-07B/DT (Freshly Updated)
07 Touring 1584 Stage I Cal Part Number 34456-07B/DT (EITMS Updated)

As far as the slip-ons, yes, they will work, not flawlessly, but will function, as the ADAPTIVE FUEL VALUE will modify the cruise range only......

Decel/Lean pop is still a possibility without upgrading the ECM Baseline..... As the scavenging ability is diminished.....

SB,

What is the difference between the two Touring part numbers 34455-07B/DT & 34456-07B/EITMS? Having this done at the dealer this winter for my 07 Road Glide along with the SE AC and the 07 SE Touring mufflers (2 piece). Want to make sure they use the right one.

Thanks,
Road Glider

EITMS - Engine Idle Temperature Management System......

Works at Idle, no vehicle movement when the ET sensor hits about 300 degrees or so.... Goes into a "Heat Survival" mode, by skipping an injection cycle....

System Function
When engine temperature reaches a pre-determined point,
the EITMS will turn off the rear cylinder fuel injector. Idle
speed will be maintained, however the rear cylinder will
become an “air pump” which will then work to cool the
engine. The conditions required for this to occur are:
● High engine temperature
● Engine must be at idle speed
● Vehicle must not be moving
● Clutch lever must be pulled in or transmission in neutral

When these conditions are met, the rear cylinder will stop firing
until one of the conditions listed above are no longer met.
If the vehicle is moving, the engine temperature drops, the
throttle is opened from the idle position, or the clutch is eased
out while in gear the rear cylinder will again fire normally.
When the engine is in EITMS mode you will notice a difference
in idle cadence. Additionally there may be a unique
exhaust odor. These are both considered to be normal conditions.

Okay lets say i may be SERIOUSLY misinformed about the stage 1 downloads.
So then tell me why when you do an upgrade the dealers only offer you the
race tuner for the 2007 bikes ONLY ? When you ask about the stage 1 they tell
that they are only for the 06 and older bikes. And that is all the south Jersey dealers.
So the ? is who is misinformed, we the riders of south Jersey or the dealers, or
could it be that they make more MONEY on the tuner ?
Plus this is about a performance upgrade that the moco says they do not offer for
the 2007 street bikes due to the EPA.
The one update you talk about is used on police bikes, what are the other two updates ?

The answer to your question is ..... Both... Riders and the dealership...... Riders for not doing their homework, and the dealers for not being educated or honest enough to present the info......

SERT is for the SE Performance upgrades, and when Non-HD components are utilized, to attain optimum tuneability....

The one update that you mentioned for use on PD units, which one is that????? Those listed are Stage I (AC, Mufflers and ECM Update) for Dyna, Softail and Touring only.....

There is no 103 Flash in there, as you are apparently not aware, PD units for 07 are equipped with a 103, Stage II and a unique calibration......

Touring Police OEM Domestic 34563-07B/DT
Touring Police OEM EITMS Domestic 34449-07C/DT

Hmmmmmmmmmm...... Dont see any of the numbers that I posted earlier there duplicated????

Sounds like you need to find another set of dealers, or attempt to educate them yourself.......
