I had an idea I want to run by y'all to see if it would work. Got an'06 1200 Sportster. SEII slip on's, SE air filter and a re-jet. Runs good. Still has a little problem with popping if I goose the throttle hard. As I do more too it like cam, etc. I will need more precise jetting. The question, has anyone used an automotive oxygen sensor and air-fuel ratio gaugeto tune with? I'm talking rigging up temp mounts 'til I get it set. Which cylender should I use? Would placing the sensor in the end of the pipegivean accurate reading? I sawan ad for a tuner software company and they used something similar to what I'm talking about to feed info to the computer.

You will have a readout either digital or analog that will need to be associated with engine rpm to say the least. If you can utilize the information and do the adjustments go for it.
If you have stock exhaust, you will only get agood reading by sampling the exhaust in front of the cross over pipe. By the time you do all the work and equipment issues, you will better serve yourself by researching your area to find an Dyno tuning center. They will also be ableto observe each cylinder and identify rich or lean characteristics. You should get the results you are looking for if you can find good tuner. They will also help you understand where you are at and what needs to be done in resolving your problem.
Best of luck !
