WAS running 107 ci kit with wood 555 cams and lifters, stock heads and adj pushrods. Put 12K miles on last year on this set up.
NOW this winter i tore it all down again to get jugs, heads, and pushrod tubes powder coated And got the Level B fuel moto job to the heads with comp releases. Decided to sell my 555s and try the 777s. I installed the cams, checked and double checked the timing marks, checked and double checked the pushrods. Finally got it all back together this morning and it will only run on the front cylinder.
Spark is good, checked it with a spark checker tool (also tried another plug)
Plug gets wet and smells like gas.
Checked and changed map, still no change.
I don't have a compression gauge, I do hear the air rushing out of the comp releases.
I want to check anything and everything i can before i have to tear the god awful headers off this thing. I'm pretty positive all the timing marks are going to be exactly right, but what else could it be ?? thanks in advance
What about the head sensor causing the EIMTS to kick in wich cuts out one cyl.? Just a thought.
Is that the "mode" it goes into when the engine gets too hot ? If so I don't think the Thundermax has that mode. Also I've linked up to it With my laptop and it doesn't show any codes.
As for plug wires, I tried a spare one and a spare plug, I even have a spare coil that I tried. With my spark checker tool, it's showing a strong spark. So I have spark and seem to have fuel to the cylinder ( wet plug smelling of gasoline).
