engine knock
Installed 107 kit with woods777 cams had about 100 miles on it went to start motor cold knocked for split second all was good so i readjusted pushrods still knocks on start up .went to go on ride started up knocked thought maybe lifter needs to pump up after about ten miles goes away runs fine,next day start up knocking wont go away sounds like front cyl tear rocker box checked compression 190 both cyl took cams out heads off cant find anything wrong going to change valve springs but still baffled

Doubt it's the lifters. Could it be a rocker arm making contact with the rocker cover? I have had that happen before with .590" lift cams. If springs are not beehive, you might need to clearance the rocker boxes in the spring corners. Open the link for an illustration. This might not be an issue but you should be able to tell if it is by looking at the underside of the rocker box for evidence of contact.
