Ok folks, I have a set of Rinehart TD's on my RK and love the looks and sound. My father is fixin' to get a '07 SE Ultra andweare curious to know how the V&H TD's compare to the RTD's? Are the V&H's quieter? louder? Do they have as deep bass tone at idle as the Rineharts? Thanks for any input.
I can't answer your question but I'd sure love to know the answer too. On I am on the fence between the same two pipes and a set of Samson's. Maybe someone will chime in with an answer.
I have the VH Ovals on the VH duals, they loud above 3500 rpm and will set off the the neighbor hood car alarms just crusing by at 2000. My buddy has the rieharts which seam to me has a little deeper throaty sound than the VH but quieter which may be the difference lower tones. with that said the VH have bass sound to them.
I have the full dual V&H Big Shots and a friend of mine has a set of Rineharts. His seem to be a little deeper sounding at idle. The V&H are definately the louder of the two, but then again my V&H are the full dual set up and not true duals with mufflers attached.
did you guys read the part in American Iron magazine that the rineharts full dident make as much low to mid rage power as Vance & Hines slipons? Im glad i went with the V&H's

This is true and noteworthy! The stock headers deliver better low and mid-range... exactly where the vast majority spend the vast majority of their time. Sure, V&H TD's and RH Headers deliver slightly higher dyno numbers but this is at the very upper end of the RPM range (Where few ever go), at the expense of low/mid. For me it will be some nice slip-ons... if I even swap out the stock '07 mufflers. H-D really did improve/deepen the stock '07 music.
