Default RE: 95" cam?

Correct me if I'm wrong, which I very well may be, but when reading the SE dyno charts I notice that the 1550 stage 3 kits does not include the heads but the 1550 stage 4 does. The stage 4 has higher hp numbers but the torque numbers for the stage 3 are better, and pull longer.I realize at 5250 rpm's that the stage 4 is a little higher but how many of us get to that high of an rpm on a regular basis?I would think that unless your drag racing the thing that a cam that peaks somewhere between 2500-4500 would be more noticeable in the seat than a cam, i.e.SE204, that peaks at around 5800rpm.My personal riding is basically city streets and the occasional freeway jaunt.I did the stage 2 kit last winter and off the line it runs awesome.Rarely do I do over 100mph and it's still pulling when I get there.I have an 02' nighttrain with the stage 2 except the carb,I just re-worked the stock one a little,V&H big shots, forcewinder intake blah,blah,blah....Please respond,I enjoy hearing different points of views from everyone,I never know what I might learn.

You might want to check out the feb.07 issue of american rider. Joe Minton(harley guru) recommends 9.5:1 95" flat tops, .040" cometic head gasket, SE204 cams with a 4 degree advanced cam sprocket. He says this alone will get you 90 lb. ft. of torque @ 2500 rpm. This is quite a jump up from the stock 60 lb. ft. This is what we all need, torque in the useable range. If your looking for barstool horsepower(braggin HP) this wouldn't apply to you. It was a very informative article. Head work adds power at the upper limits of the rpm range (4000+).
