Angry Choke

My choke will not stay out. It will stay on full choke for about a minute at 1500rpm then it slides into about 1/2 choke and 9000rpm? With it being cool here this is a real pain in the **** I did not think it is supposed to move on its own. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Dan

If I remember right tightening the nut on the back side of the bracket makes the shaft not slide as easily and stay where you put it.

To increase the tension on the choke cable you need to remove the cable from the bracket. Hold the plastic threaded area with the correct size wrench and turn the choke **** clockwise to increase the tension. Put the threaded portion back in the bracket. CAREFULLY TIGHTEN THE BOLT ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE BRACKET. I just use finger tight. Otherwise you will break the choke **** lose from the plastic threads. The only cure at that point is to buy a new cable. Don't ask how I know...
