Losing oil in shovelhead
- we changed the plugs to a lower wtvr
- Your piston are not seating
- whoever did your engine work didnt put the valves in correctly.
- So I am losing oil and the plugs are failing
- I have put 1000 miles on since bottom was redone and 500 since top was redone by an AA hillbilly who was mad at me because he is a loser...
So woth all tha being said!
What do I need to do
???
I AM AT THE POINT WHERE i WANT TO START WRENCHING BECAUSE I AM GOING BACK TO DENVER ADN DO NOT WANT TO NOT KNOW ANYTHING

No valve seals installed?
Rings butted/installed incorrectly?
Incorrect cross-hatch?
Cylinder head gasket surface buggered, causing incorrect seal at the cylinder drain?
Any/all of the above could be the reason.

..it sounds like ether you didn't understand what the mechanic told you, or he didn't have a clue in the first place.. is the oil level actually going down(you need to keep adding oil)? HD's are pretty low tech. most likely, the rings are seated fine unless some one really screwed up building it: cyls bored way too big, no crosshatch, worn broken wrong or missing rings..
..if it is just fouling plugs, heads/valves would be the first thing to look at. could be as easy as pushrods adjusted wrong. if they are too tight, the valves are held open and that is your problem.
