I talked to the dealer yesterday about more passing torque for my 2006 Ultra Classic (88ci). I just need a little more umph to pass or get out of the way of cages. He recommended swapping the cams as a start for a low cost alternative. Any advise or recommendations is greatly appreciated.
What is done to the bike already? Without an air cleaner and pipes, cams will do little to nothing for you. Stage 1 set up may be all you need, assuming you do not have it already.
both Andrews and S&S sites have descriptions of their cams. Depending on what other engine mods you may have and what kind of power band you want one of their descriptions should help you find a cam that will give you what you are looking for.
Upgrade those inner cam bearings while you are at it; cheap and it adds about 30 minutes to the job. You will have to decide if you want to retain the OEM pushrods or go with adjustables.
